throwing the dice
You weigh the risks
you throw the dice
to win or loose
you can't decide
yet if a 'soul mate'
is the soul's recognition of its counterpart
that missing piece that soo harmniously fits in
why should love be a win/loose?
isn't it win-win
the greater good
resulting in a sum that is greater than the parts that make the whole?
yet.. all around you
you see mismatch
the suboptimal solution
the divine pairing
all gone wrong
its never "picture perfect"
yet, its not perfection you seek
in its absolute sense
yet harmony and balance
a synchronised rythm
for the song of life
without jagged edges
that rip the soul
and leave unhealable wounds..
yet some throw the dice
not knowing
or without wanting to know
trapped in a deception
sustained by their own stubbornness
mistaken for hope
that blinds their eyes
and hardens their skulls
making them hit their heads again and again
against a stone cold wall
that will not budge
that does not feel
because they don't understand?
it is on the other side of the wall
that the moisture of life has seeped in
and carved the smooth groves
in which the roots have found their foot hold
and beautiful blossoms blume
throwing the dice
is not enough
it must be in your fate
to win........

Hope - is that flickering flame
that you so carefully guard
against being perilously dimmed
by the venoumous winds around you
the fragile sheild against
the negativity, the pessimism
all demons of the mind
and societies' poisounous arrows
yet, when the illuminating light
of astitute knowledge
shone from a source no other
than reality it self
it pales quivering hope
rendering it useless
outshone by the absolute broghtness of the truth
that somethings are never meant to be
that some birds are always meant to fly..
